Healthy, and convenient
Built-in Central Vacuum Systems:
Central vacuum systems are also called ducted vacuum systems, central vacuum cleaners, built-in vacuum systems, built-in vacuum cleaners or central vacuums and are an innovative way of vacuuming a home. Built-in vacuums are the pinnacle of efficiency, not only saving time and energy, but add value to your home and also eliminating the noise, smell, and costly upkeep of portable vacuum cleaners.
Traditional vacuum cleaners allow too much dust to recirculate – on your rugs, furniture and throughout your home. The result: indoor air pollutant levels are two to five times, and in some cases 100 times higher than outdoor levels.
Central vacuum systems are fast becoming one of the more popular household appliances in South Africa because of its ease of service and the convenience of use. You can basically reattach the hose to any outlet and work with it from there without needing to drag the machine around behind you.
Our central vacuum systems are unique and we offer the widest selection of built-in vacuum systems (more than 70 models) in South Africa. We also offer the widest range of hose and attachments, accessories, replacement motors, and spare parts which can also be fitted on Electrolux, Allegro, Beam Built-in Vacuums, Vacu-Maid, Silent Master, Premier Clean, Auskay, and Vacuflo central vacuum systems.
Health Benefits of Central Vacuum Cleaners / Central Vacuum Systems
Conventional vacuum cleaners actually contribute to indoor air pollution by releasing into the air bacteria and dust that can spread infections and trigger allergies, researchers report in a new study. It appears in ACS' journal Environmental Science & Technology
Australian researchers tested 21 central vacuum cleaners from 11 manufacturers, including two commercial models. The vacuums were six months to 22 years old, and ranged from less than R800 to almost R7,000. Brands included Dyson, Electrolux, Hoover, iRobot, and Sanyo. The researchers measured 62 different air emissions. All released some bacteria, dust, and allergens back into the air.
David Corry, MD, is not a fan of the vacuum cleaner. Corry is a professor and chief of the section of immunology, allergy, and rheumatology in the department of medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
He says that the only kind of vacuum that makes sense is a central vacuum system unit. With these, the motor and filtration unit are located outside of the house, so all of the dust is also filtered outward.
